Gouri Kapur

This is Gouri Kapur, and we are set up over at S5 on Ambaji Road. Frazer Town is a busy place, and being right here means there is always something going on outside our door. It’s not a huge space, but it fits what we do just fine. Most days start with opening up the shutters and getting the dust off the counters. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a steady one. People usually find us by looking for the Ambaji Road landmarks. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stops, but not too bad. We’ve been at this for some time now. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, especially in the evenings, but you get used to it after a while. We keep things pretty informal around here. If someone comes in, we just talk to them like a neighbor. There’s no script or anything. It’s just how we’ve always run things. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the actual work to worry about that. It’s just a regular workplace on a regular street. We stay until the sun goes down and then lock up. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us going every day in this part of town.
