Our office is tucked away in Dan & Sam Towers over at number 22 in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. If you know the area, we’re right near Sunrise Colony. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking closely, but once you’re here, it’s a quiet enough spot to sit down and talk. We spend most of our time looking at school applications and talking to students who aren't quite sure where they want to go next. Goodhope Educational Consultancy started out because there seemed to be a lot of confusion around colleges, and we just figured we could help sort through the paperwork. The lobby downstairs can get a bit crowded in the afternoons, but our floor stays pretty calm. There’s a small balcony where we keep some plants, though they’ve seen better days because someone always forgets to water them. We don’t have a massive team or anything. It’s just a few of us sitting around desks piled with brochures and forms. Sometimes parents come in looking stressed, and we just sit and go through everything page by page until it makes sense. The tea guy comes around at four, which is usually the highlight of the day. We’ve been in this building for a few years now and the landlord is decent. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to keep things simple for everyone who walks in.
