Goldman Sachs

Our office is situated in F 101 of the Sonesta building here in Bangalore. It’s a pretty standard apartment-style office setup, which actually makes it feel a lot more comfortable than a cold office block. We’ve been here for a while and have settled into a good rhythm at Goldman Sachs. The space is a bit tight when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. We have our desks arranged so we can easily talk to each other without having to get up. It makes things move faster. We aren't into the whole corporate culture thing where everything is polished and perfect. Our desks have coffee stains and there are stacks of paper that need filing, but that's how a real office looks. We focus on the work itself rather than how the office looks to outsiders. Most of our days are spent on the phone or working through data. We try to keep things relaxed but professional enough to get things done. Being in the Sonesta building is handy because people know where it is. It’s a simple life here in Karnataka. We come in, do our bit, and go home. We don't feel the need to use marketing slogans or act like we are changing the world. We’re just a team doing a job in a space that works for us. It’s practical and it’s home for us during the day.
