Godwin Earth Movers

Godwin Earth Movers is located on 2nd Cross, 2nd Main, DB Road in Chamaraj Pet, Chikballapur. We are very close to St. Joseph School. You can hear the kids playing during recess and the school bell ringing throughout the day. Our yard is where we keep the heavy earth-moving equipment. It’s mostly dirt and gravel underfoot. The office is just a small room at the front of the property. It’s got a few chairs and a calendar on the wall. We move a lot of soil and rocks for different people in the area. The machines are loud and they take a lot of maintenance. We spend a lot of time under the hoods of the tractors or fixing the buckets. Chikballapur gets quite dry, so there’s always a layer of dust on everything we own. We don’t mind it much. It’s part of the job. Being near the school means we have to be careful when we move the big machines in and out. We usually wait until the street is quiet. We aren’t a big corporation with many branches. We’re just here on DB Road. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat. We have a water cooler that everyone uses. The work is tough on the back, but it's what we know how to do. We don't make big promises. We just show up with the digger and get to work. Most days we are finished by sunset.
