Deccan Diggers

Deccan Diggers is basically run out of Sangeetha Nilaya here in Basavanagar. We are at number 36 on 6th Cross. It’s a residential area, so we try not to be too loud when we’re getting the equipment ready in the mornings. We do a lot of earthmoving and site preparation work around this part of town. Most of our time is spent out on actual work sites, but the office and the paperwork happen right here. It’s a family-run thing, really. We’ve got a couple of backhoes and some smaller digging tools that we maintain ourselves. You can usually see our truck parked near the house when we aren't out on a job. Basavanagar has changed a lot since we started, with more houses going up every year. That keeps us busy enough. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. Most people just hear about us from their neighbors or see us working on a nearby plot. My cousin helps with the scheduling, though it's usually written down in a messy notebook on the kitchen table. We started with just one old machine and a lot of hope. Now we know the local soil pretty well. It's rocky in some spots and soft in others. We just show up, do the digging, and move on to the next one. It’s honest work and it keeps us moving. The weather affects us a lot, so we watch the clouds constantly.
