Global Foods

Global Foods is located at 1401 in the HBR Layout, over by Kalyannagar. It is a pretty straightforward operation we have going here. We deal with a lot of different food products and ingredients. The space is mostly filled with crates and sacks of stuff waiting to be moved out. It’s a busy neighborhood, and there is always someone coming or going with a delivery. We don’t have a fancy reception area. It’s just the warehouse space and a small desk where we keep track of the inventory. Sometimes the smell of spices or grains is quite strong, depending on what came in that morning. We have a small crew of guys who help with the heavy lifting. It’s physical work. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the stock is fresh. Bangalore weather is usually okay, but when it rains, it makes the logistics a bit of a headache with the mud and the traffic in HBR Layout. We have been in this spot for a bit, and the locals know us. We aren't trying to be the biggest distributor around; we just want to make sure the orders are correct and the quality is decent. It’s about getting the basics right every day. Usually, we finish up late and get everything ready for the next morning’s rounds. We just lock up the gates and head home after the last truck leaves the premises.
