I open up here at 8 Kanteeravanagar every morning. It's usually quiet around Athwalines before the sun gets too high. By ten, the street starts waking up. I spend a lot of time just rearranging things on the shelves or wiping down the counters. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Some days are packed with people coming in and out, and other days I’m just sitting here watching the traffic go by. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down where I get my morning chai. The shop isn't huge, but it fits what we need. Sometimes the light inside gets a bit dim in the afternoon when the shadows from the buildings across hit us. My hands are usually busy with something, whether it’s sorting through new stock or just cleaning the glass. I try to keep the place looking decent, though the dust from the road makes that a bit of a losing battle. Most of our regulars live just a few blocks away. They pop in to say hello even if they aren't buying anything that day. It feels like a neighborhood spot. I’ve lived around here most of my life so I know the shortcuts and which days the market gets too crowded. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine here. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. Just the name Glitz & Glam on the door and us inside doing the work we have to do.
