Girls School Bans Khedi

Our school is over at No. 1 in Maruthi Layout. This is in the Basapura Village area near Hosa Road. It is an interesting part of Electronic City because it still feels a bit like a village in some spots. We are a school for girls. The building is located back in the layout so it is not as noisy as the main road. We have students coming from both the old village houses and the newer apartment blocks. The school has a few floors. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep. We try to keep things clean but with so many kids it is hard. The classrooms are basic with wooden desks. We follow the standard curriculum that all the schools use. There is nothing very flashy about the way we do things. We just focus on the lessons every day. During lunch the girls sit in the hallways or in the small yard out front. It’s always a lot of talking and laughing then. We have been here for a long time. Most people around Maruthi Layout know who we are. We don’t do any advertising. People just talk to each other and that’s how they find us. The parents come by the office to check on things. It is a very straightforward place. We just provide a spot for the local girls to get their education. It’s a busy but simple life here for everyone involved.
