Girls High School Shivgarh

If you are looking for us, we are situated at Ca No 3 in the Hmt Layout area of Vidyaranyapura. This part of Bangalore has changed a lot over the years, but the school stays pretty much the same. We have a decent building that serves as the Girls High School Shivgarh. It’s not some polished glass building; it’s a practical space made of bricks and mortar. Most days, the place is full of energy because of the students, though it gets very quiet once the final bell rings in the afternoon. Being in Hmt Layout means we have a lot of greenery around, which is nice when it’s not raining too hard. When the monsoons hit, we have to keep an eye on the roof leaks, but that’s just part of life in an older building. Our staff rooms are usually cluttered with books and old records. We don’t spend much on decorations or anything like that because the focus is just on the classes. People in the neighborhood know us by name, and we see the same faces at the local shops every day. It’s a very local atmosphere here. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We just show up, open the gates, and get to work teaching the girls who live in this part of town. It is a straightforward life for all of us involved with the school.
