Girls Government High School Palera

This school is situated at No.374 on the 12th Cross, just off 5th Main in RMV Extension 2nd Stage. Being a government high school for girls, we see a lot of students from the surrounding parts of Bangalore coming in every morning. The building is a bit older, and it shows its age in places, but it’s a place that a lot of people in this neighborhood rely on. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations or modern furniture, but we make do with what we have. Most mornings start with the girls lining up and the staff getting the daily registers ready. It’s a very practical sort of place. We spend a fair amount of time making sure the basic facilities are working and that the classrooms are ready for use. The area around 12th Cross is mostly quiet during the day, which helps with the classes. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood—vendors passing by or the occasional car—but mostly it’s just the sound of teaching and learning. Many of the girls have been coming here since they were much younger, so there’s a sense of familiarity among everyone. We just keep the routine going, day in and day out, ensuring the building is open and things are running as they should for the students.
