Gilganchi Artal High School

You can find Gilganchi Artal High School at 1&2 Anjananagar, right on the Thunganagar Main Road near Magadi Road. This is a high school, so things are a bit more serious here than at the local play schools. We have students coming in from all over the Vijaynagar and Magadi Road area. The building is a couple of stories high and we have several classrooms filled with benches and blackboards. Every morning, the students gather for their assembly in the small courtyard before heading up to their classes. It’s a standard high school environment—there’s always the sound of teachers lecturing and the scratching of pens on paper. We have a small office near the entrance where we keep all the records and where parents come to talk about grades. The neighborhood has gotten much busier over the years, and there’s a lot of construction happening nearby, so it can get a bit dusty during the dry months. We don't have a huge field for sports, so the kids usually play some games in the open space we have during their breaks. The staff here is a mix of older teachers who have been here forever and some younger ones just starting out. We focus on getting through the textbooks and making sure everyone is ready for their board exams. It’s a no-nonsense school for local kids who need a solid education close to their homes.
