Genius Grammar School

You’ll find us at number 4 on 4th D Cross in Ilyas Nagar. It’s a specific little corner of JP Nagar that stays pretty busy. The school is a basic building where we’ve been teaching for years. It isn’t a very large place, but we manage to fit in all the classes. Each room has a blackboard and rows of desks. Some of the paint is peeling a bit near the windows, but the rooms are clean. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signs. We just have the name out front so people know where we are. The teachers come in early to get their chalk and books ready. We have a small area for the kids to leave their shoes and bags. In the morning, you can hear the chanting of tables or kids reading out loud. It’s a sound we are very used to. During the monsoon, we have to watch out for leaks in the roof, but we usually get someone to patch it up pretty quick. The parents in Ilyas Nagar are hardworking people, and we see them at the gate every day. We don't have a big bus service, so most kids arrive on foot or on the back of a scooter. It’s a very local, neighborhood school. We just do our jobs and try to get through the syllabus every year without too much fuss.
