You can find us over on Devarachikkanahalli Road at No.23. We are located in the Bilekahalli area, not too far from the main Bannerghatta Road in Bangalore 560076. It’s a primary school, so we mostly see the younger children every day. The road outside can get quite dusty and noisy with all the traffic heading toward the main junction. Our building is a simple one, nothing too grand, but it gets the job done. Inside, the classrooms are filled with small benches and low tables for the students. We’ve got some charts on the walls about the alphabet and numbers. The teachers here are mostly locals who have been with us for a long time. There is always a pot of tea going in the small break room. We don’t have a massive playground, but there’s enough room for the kids to stretch their legs during the break. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and informal. We talk to the parents on the street when they come to pick up their kids. It feels more like a neighborhood gathering place than a formal institution. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit messy, but we just carry on with our lessons. We focus on the basics here, just teaching the kids their first lessons in a way that makes sense. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of school for the families around Bilekahalli.
