We are set up on the first floor at No 665, which is right on 28th Main in Bangalore. The name on the door is a bit of a mouthful—Ge Capitals Inetrnational Services Analytics Genpact Analy—but we just think of ourselves as the analytics team. Being in Bangalore, we are right in the middle of all the tech stuff, but our office feels more like a regular local business. The first floor is a good spot because we can see the traffic on 28th Main, which is usually backed up. It is a busy road and there is always something going on outside. Inside, it is mostly quiet because people are concentrated on their data and spreadsheets. We have a lot of computer cables running across the floor and the lighting is that typical office buzz. It is not a huge place, but it fits us. We have a small area where we keep the water cooler and the coffee machine, which is where most of the talking happens. People in the neighborhood might not even know we are here since the building has a few different businesses in it. We just come in, do our analysis work, and then head home through the Bangalore traffic. It is a solid place to work, even if it is just a plain office with no frills.
