G.D.S. Public School

G.D.S. Public School is right at 30/1, Dvg Road, on the Gandhi Bazar Main Road in Basavanagudi. Being in Bangalore 560004, and specifically on DVG Road, means we are right in the thick of things. It’s one of the most famous market areas in the city. Every morning, we see the flower sellers and the fruit vendors setting up while our students are arriving. It’s a very lively environment to be in. The school itself is tucked into this busy street. It’s not a huge, sprawling campus. We have to make the most of the space we have. The rooms are packed with benches, and we try to keep the windows open for the breeze. It can get a bit loud with the sounds of the market and the temple bells nearby, but that’s just life in Basavanagudi. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. We rely on the teachers and their ability to explain things clearly. We have a small staff who handles everything from teaching to fixing the gate. It’s a very hands-on way to run a school. People around here know us as the local school on the main road. We don't put up big billboards or anything. We just open our doors every morning and do our best to teach the kids what they need to know. It’s a busy, somewhat messy, but very real place to learn. We've been here for years and we just keep doing our thing.
