Gayatri Shishu High School Khardon Kalan

Our high school is out near Nettigere Gate on Kanakapura Road. The address is No.42/1, and it’s a spot that most people heading out of the city recognize. We have been here for a long time, and the name Khardon Kalan is part of who we are. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for the families living around this part of Bangalore, it’s their local high school. The building is solid and has seen a lot of students pass through over the years. We spend our mornings getting everything ready before the buses arrive at the gate. It’s a high school, so things can get a bit loud and messy, but that’s just how it goes with teenagers. We don't have any fancy facilities, just the basics that are needed for a proper education. The staff here are mostly locals who know the area well. We spend a lot of time on the phone with parents or fixing things around the building. Kanakapura Road is always busy, so we have to keep an eye on the traffic near the entrance. The air is a bit better out here than in the center of the city, which is nice. We just focus on the daily schedule and making sure the kids are doing their work. It’s a simple life, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Just a school at Nettigere Gate.
