Gateway International School

We’ve been running Gateway International School from this first-floor spot in Mathikere for quite some time now. If you know the Gokula 1st Stage area, you probably know where we are, right on HMT Main Road. It gets pretty noisy outside with all the traffic coming off M S Ramaiah Road, but inside the classrooms, it’s just the usual school sounds. The stairs to the first floor are a bit narrow, so mornings are always a bit of a scramble when everyone arrives at once. We don't have a massive fancy campus, just this practical space where the kids do their work and the teachers keep things moving along. It’s a local place. Parents around here seem to like that they can just drop their kids off on their way to work or the market. We spend a lot of time just organizing books and making sure the desks are straight. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to open all the windows to get a breeze from the main road. It’s not perfect, but it’s where we are every day from Monday to Saturday. The 1st Phase of Gokula is a busy neighborhood, so there is always something happening right outside our door. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the students have what they need for their lessons without making a big fuss about things.
