Garam Masala

You can find Garam Masala on GT Road 44, right along Kamanahalli Main Road. It’s a loud street, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We’ve been running this place for a few years now. It started out small and stayed that way, which is fine with us. The kitchen is tucked away in the back where all the heavy lifting happens. We go through a lot of onions and ginger every day. Our staff is mostly family, so we tend to argue a bit when it gets busy, but we always get the plates out eventually. The chairs are wooden and maybe a little bit squeaky if you sit a certain way. We don't spend money on decorations or fancy lighting. People come here because they know what they’re getting. It’s just standard food that fills you up. Sometimes the delivery guys are waiting by the door and it gets a bit cramped for the people sitting down. We try to manage the crowd. If the weather is bad, it gets quiet, but otherwise, it’s a steady stream of people from the main road. We don't have any big plans to expand or change things. We just like having a spot in the neighborhood where we can cook. The stove is always on and the door is usually open.
