Ganga International School

We are over in Vijayanagar, specifically on the 17th Cross in Govindraj Nagar. It’s a busy neighborhood in Bangalore. The school is at house number 3. It’s not one of those massive campuses with acres of land. It’s more integrated into the local street. You can hear the vendors calling out and the cars passing by while we are in the middle of a lesson. The building has several floors and we use every bit of space we have. It’s a bit cramped sometimes, especially when everyone is arriving at the same time in the morning. We don’t have a big fancy gate, just a regular entrance that leads into the main hall. Inside, things are functional. We have the usual desks and cupboards full of old files and supplies. The walls have some charts and student work pinned up, but it’s not professionally decorated. It just looks like a school that’s been lived in. We deal with the usual daily issues like leaky taps or noisy fans. It’s just part of the job. Most of the parents live in the surrounding streets, so they just drop their kids off and have a quick chat with us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just run the school the best way we know how.
