Ganesh Caterers

You can find us over at No.26 on Govindappa Road in Basavanagudi. It is one of those old parts of Bangalore that still feels a bit traditional. Ganesh Caterers has been part of this street for a good while. We do not have a fancy storefront with glass windows. It is just a regular place where we do our prep work and cooking. We do a lot of weddings, especially the traditional ones they have around this area. My father started this, and now we just carry it on as best as we can. The kitchen gets really busy during the wedding season. We have a few regular guys who help with the heavy lifting and the cooking. We use a lot of fresh coconut and curry leaves because that is the flavor people expect in Basavanagudi. Sometimes we have to carry the big vessels up and down the stairs, which is quite a workout. We do not have a website or anything like that. People just drop by the house on Govindappa Road when they need something. We write down the orders in a big ledger book. It is an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We try to be fair with everyone and just do our job. It is not a complicated life. We cook, we deliver, and we clean up. That is about it for us.
