Gandhi School (Kfc)

People around here usually just call us Gandhi School, though the (Kfc) part is how it’s listed on the papers. We are located over on 5th Main Road in Rahamath Nagar, which is part of the bigger RT Nagar area in Bangalore. It’s a lively neighborhood with shops and houses all packed together. Our school fits right in there. It’s a place where kids from the nearby streets come to spend their day. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside it’s always busy. We have a lot of students squeezed into the classrooms, and you can hear the teachers’ voices echoing down the halls. It gets hot in the afternoons, but the kids don’t seem to mind much as long as they get to play during their break. We have a small yard where they gather, and it’s usually full of dust and laughter. The staff here has been with us for a long time, so they know which kids are brothers or sisters. We deal with the usual problems like broken chairs or leaky taps, just like any other place. It’s a very grounded environment. We don't use a lot of fancy technology; it's mostly just pens, paper, and a lot of talking. It feels like a big family sometimes, even with all the shouting and running around that happens every single day of the week.
