You can find us over on 6th Main along Triveni Road in Yeshwanthpur. This part of Bangalore is always moving, especially with the market and the railway station not too far away. The school building sits right among the local houses and small shops. Every morning, the street gets quite narrow with all the cycles and scooters parked around. We have a set routine that starts early before the sun gets too high. The classrooms are basic with standard benches and green boards that need a good wipe every evening. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have the essentials for the daily lessons. During lunch, the smell of home-cooked food fills the hallways as everyone opens their tiffin boxes. Sometimes the noise from the main road can be a bit loud, especially the buses honking, but we are all used to it by now. The staircase is a bit narrow, so we have to make sure the kids go up and down in an orderly way. We have a small patch of ground where the students can stand for assembly, though it gets a bit dusty in the dry season. Our office is just a small room with a few filing cabinets and a computer that’s seen better days. It’s a very local feel here at Gama Public School. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids show up on time and do their homework as expected.
