Galaxy School

You will find Galaxy School over at 231, 14th Main, right near Tank Bund Road in Subramanyanagar. This part of Bangalore 560021 has its own pace. The school building sits there, fairly plain to look at, but it’s always full of life during the week. Students arrive in their uniforms, some looking sleepy and others ready to run around. We have a set of stairs that everyone uses, and the walls are covered with occasional notices or old drawings. It is a practical environment. We don't have fancy carpets or high-end tech in every corner. It’s mostly just chalkboards, sturdy desks, and a lot of books. During the monsoon, you can hear the rain drumming on the roof, which sometimes makes it hard to hear the teacher. But we just talk a bit louder. The staff room is usually a bit cluttered with tea cups and half-graded papers. People from the neighborhood know us well. We see the same shopkeepers and neighbors every morning when we open up. There’s no big corporate vibe here; it feels more like a local family-run operation. We keep the gates shut during school hours for safety, and then it’s a mad rush when the final bell rings in the afternoon. Parents wait by their scooters outside on 14th Main, and the whole street gets busy for twenty minutes before settling back down. It is just a normal, hardworking school in a normal neighborhood.
