Gagalmari Ashighar Lp School

Gagalmari Ashighar Lp School is tucked away on 2nd Cross in the GH Layout part of Jayanagar 3rd Block. It’s at house number 21, which is a fairly quiet spot compared to the main roads around here. Being a lower primary school, we mostly deal with the little ones. The building is simple and we’ve tried to make the rooms as comfortable as possible for the younger kids who are just starting out. It can get pretty noisy during recess, but that is to be expected. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the routine goes. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The parents usually drop the kids off at the gate and we make sure they get inside safely. It’s a tight-knit community in this part of Bangalore. We aren't a massive institution with a huge campus, but we have enough space for the classes we run. Sometimes we have to move things around to make room for activities or when we get new supplies delivered. The rain sometimes leaks a bit near the side entrance, but we just put a bucket out and keep going. It’s just a regular school doing regular things for the children in our neighborhood. We like it that way. No one here is looking for anything too complicated, just a place for kids to start learning.
