Gabbarrs Kitchen

Gabbarrs Kitchen is located on Senapati Bapat Road over in the Kalkunte area. It’s mostly just a lot of cooking and steam in here. We have a few tables, but it's a small space. The stove stays on for most of the day. We do a lot of chopping vegetables in the morning before we open. It gets pretty hot near the tandoor. My clothes always smell like spices by the time I go home. We aren't a fancy restaurant with waiters in suits. It's just us in the back making food. People come in from the offices nearby around lunchtime. It gets a bit chaotic then. We try to get the plates out fast. Sometimes we run out of certain things by the evening. The floor gets a bit slippery if we aren't careful with the cleaning. We use big metal pots that are heavy to carry. Senapati Bapat Road is always busy with cars and people rushing. We just stay focused on the orders coming in. The menu is written on a board. We don't change it much. It's just honest food that fills you up. We've had the same sink for years. It's a loud place with the fans going and the pans clanking. That's just how a kitchen is. We usually shut the lights off once the last plate is washed and put away. The back door stays propped open for some air.
