Friends Hair Salon

Friends Hair Salon has been here at 25, Tate Lane for quite some time now. People in Ashoknagar usually find us because we’re right near Pushpa clinic, which is a big landmark around here. It’s just a regular hair salon, nothing too fancy or over the top. Most days it’s just us cutting hair and talking about whatever is happening in the news or the neighborhood. We have a few chairs and they’re usually busy on the weekends. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but we’re used to it by now. The shop stays open until the evening most days. We get a lot of locals who just walk in after work or on their way to the market. It’s a small space, but we make it work. Usually, there’s some tea being passed around in the mornings. We don’t really do anything complicated here, just standard haircuts and shaves for whoever walks through the door. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast when it’s busy, so someone is always sweeping. It’s a decent spot to sit for twenty minutes and get a trim. We know most of the people who come in by their first names since they’ve been coming here for years. Ashoknagar is a busy area, but our little corner on Tate Lane stays relatively quiet compared to the main roads. We just keep things simple and try to do an okay job every day without making a big fuss about things.
