Freshwiches

Freshwiches is located at No.20 in the Gc Farha Fort Manor building over in Jayamahal. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main roads, which we actually like. We’ve been in this building for some time now. It’s mostly just us making sandwiches and prepping ingredients throughout the morning. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Our "office" is usually just a small desk in the back covered in receipts and order forms. We try to use what’s available at the local markets each day. Sometimes we have to change the menu slightly because we couldn't find the right bread or the vegetables didn't look good that morning. We think it’s better to be honest about that than to serve something we aren't happy with. The space inside is cozy and we keep it clean. We have a few chairs for people who want to wait or eat quickly. It isn't a place for a three-course meal, just a simple spot for a sandwich. We do a lot of the work ourselves, from washing the floors to taking the orders. It keeps us busy and we know how everything is running. People in the Jayamahal area seem to know us now, which is nice. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We are just making lunch for the neighborhood and hoping people enjoy it. It's a small life but it's ours.
