Flavours International

Our spot is on St. Johns Road, specifically at Meanee Avenue on Tank Road. It’s number 12. The area is always busy with cars and people heading towards the commercial parts of town. Inside, it’s a bit of a mix of everything. We have a lot of different things on the shelves, mostly food related since that’s our name, Flavours International. It smells a bit like a mix of spices and dry goods. The shelves are quite high and sometimes I have to use a stool to reach the stuff at the top. We’ve been here for a while now and the building is showing its age a bit. There’s a creaky floorboard near the entrance that I keep meaning to fix but never get around to it. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and talking to people who come in looking for something specific they can’t find at the bigger stores. We aren't a huge operation, just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big shipment arrives and we have to find space for it all. It’s a lot of lifting and shifting bags around. The light in the back is a bit dim so we mostly stay up front near the window. It’s a simple way to earn a living and we know the regulars who pass by every morning. Flavours International is just part of the street now.
