Factory Store

Running the Factory Store at No.775 is a daily routine that usually starts with opening the shutters while the traffic on the 100 Ft Ring Rd is already picking up. We are situated right near the Ladies Petrol Bank in Banashankari 2nd Stage, so there is always a lot of movement outside. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the front of the shop and we have to wipe down the counters a few times before noon. Hoskere Halli is a busy area and you get all sorts of people walking by. Some are just looking for directions while others stop in to see what we have on the shelves today. The building itself is pretty straightforward, nothing too fancy. We have been here for a while and the locals mostly know us by our location near the pump. On rainy days, the water tends to pool a bit near the entrance, so we keep a mop handy. It’s just how things go in this part of town. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we eat in the small back room when things get quiet around two o'clock. It is not a glamorous life but it keeps us busy and we like the rhythm of the neighborhood. Being on the Ring Road means there is never a dull moment even if the noise of the bikes and buses can be a bit much sometimes. It’s just a normal shop in a busy part of Bangalore.
