Emjay Food Products

We run Emjay Food Products out of Ramaiah Layout in Kamanahalli. The address is 33/4 on the 3rd Cross, right off the main road. It gets pretty noisy outside with all the bikes and cars passing by. Inside, we are usually busy packing up different food items into plastic bags. There is often a smell of spices or fried things hanging in the air, depending on what we are working on that day. It is a small team here, mostly just a few of us sitting around the table getting the labels straight. We aren't some giant factory, just a local setup trying to get stuff out to the shops. Sometimes the sealing machine acts up and we have to fix it ourselves with a screwdriver. The delivery van has a hard time backing into the lane because it's a bit tight with the neighbors' cars parked there. We spend a lot of time counting stock and making sure the boxes are taped up well. It's a lot of repetitive work, but we keep the radio on to pass the time. People from the layout sometimes drop by to ask if they can buy things directly, and we usually just help them out. It’s just a regular workplace with plenty of cardboard boxes and crumbs on the floor. We just try to keep up with the orders as they come in. There is always a lot to do before we close up for the night.
