The shop opens early because the flower trucks get here when the sun is barely up. We are right on 80 Feet Road in Koramangala, so there is always noise from the traffic. Inside, it usually smells like wet stems and cut grass. There are thorns on the floor sometimes and we spend a lot of time sweeping those up. It gets a bit messy when we are putting together a bunch of roses or lilies for someone who just walked in. We’ve been at this ground floor spot for a while now. Some days are just busy with people stopping their bikes to grab a quick bouquet on their way home. We have buckets lining the walls and the water needs changing all the time so the flowers don't wilt in the heat. It’s not a fancy place, just a room full of plants and petals. Sometimes the fridge for the exotic ones makes a loud humming sound that we’ve gotten used to. My hands are usually stained green from the leaves. We keep the door open to let the air in, even if the dust from the road comes in with it. It’s just how it is here. Most people know us by the big glass windows and the bright colors you see when you pass by the 6th Block at No.478. It is a lot of work to keep everything fresh and looking okay for the customers.
