Durga General Store

Durga General Store is our little shop located on O T C Road in the Chickpet area of Bangalore. We are right next to the Syndicate Bank, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. Chickpet is a very busy place, always full of people and noise, and we are right in the middle of it. We also have a connection to Tarsali, which is part of our history. The store itself is packed with all sorts of things. We don't have much room to spare, so every inch of the shelf is used. Bangalore is a fast city, but in our shop, things feel a bit more traditional. We talk to our customers about their families while we weigh out their orders. It’s not a self-service place; we usually get the items for you from behind the counter. We’ve been at this for quite a while. The street outside is always narrow and crowded with carts and bikes. It’s hard to park, but people still manage to come by. We open early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. We don't have a big corporate structure. It is just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just sell general items to the people who live and work around O T C Road. It’s a simple life.
