Durga Bearing

Durga Bearing is located up on the first floor at 32/7 Lalbagh Road. It is right on Pratap Road where all the industrial shops are. The stairs are a bit steep and it can be hard to carry the heavy boxes up sometimes. We have shelves full of different types of bearings. Everything is covered in a bit of oil and metal dust. It is not a very clean job but it is what we do. I spend a lot of time looking through catalogs to find the right parts for people. Most of our customers are mechanics or factory workers who know exactly what they need. They don't want to talk much, they just want the part. The shop is usually a bit dark because we don't have many windows. We use some old tube lights that flicker sometimes. It gets loud with the traffic from Lalbagh Road coming through the vents. I have a small desk in the corner where I keep the bills and some old pens. We have been here for years and the building is showing its age. There are stacks of old boxes in the back that we haven't touched in a long time. It is a simple business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here on the first floor. It is just about getting the right parts to the people who need them to fix their machines.
