Dine & Sip

We've been at 998/20 in Vijaya Nagar for a while now. It’s a straightforward setup. Some people come in for a quick bite, others just want to sit for a bit and have a drink. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. The chairs are just wooden ones we've had since the start. It gets busy in the mornings when folks are headed to work. We try to keep things tidy, but it's a small space, so sometimes it feels a bit cramped. The kitchen is right at the back. You can hear the pans clanging from the front door. We named it Dine & Sip because that’s exactly what happens here. Nothing more to it. There’s a regular crowd that comes by every evening. Most of them live nearby in the neighborhood. We know their usual orders by heart now. It’s funny how people stick to the same thing every day. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking noise, but nobody seems to mind. We just keep the doors open and let the street noise filter in. It feels like part of the area. Some days are slow, especially when it rains hard and the street outside gets muddy. But usually, there's a steady stream of people. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around. Just a spot at Vijaya Nagar 998/20 where you can get something to eat and stay out of the sun for a while. We have a small staff and we all just pitch in where needed.
