Devduct Engineering

You can find us over at 3408 Kamakshi Palya. It’s a bit tucked away but we’ve been here long enough that most people know the way. We do engineering work, mostly parts and custom bits that people need for their own shops. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. We try to sweep up but it’s a never-ending job. There’s a specific smell to this place, like cutting oil and cold steel. It’s a smell you get used to after a week or two. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to answer the phones with a script. Usually, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up. We’ve got some old machines that still run better than the new ones we bought last year. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch because a tool broke or the power went out for an hour. That’s just how things are in Kamakshi Palya. We eat our lunch together in the small room at the back. It’s nothing special, just a place where we get things made. We don't promise the moon, we just try to make sure the dimensions are right on the pieces we send out. If a part isn't right, we fix it. That's the way we’ve always handled things here. No fuss, just metal and work. It is enough for us.
