Krishna Nilaya is the name of the place where we are based, out in the Padre area of Kasaragod. It is a quiet part of the world, very different from the big cities where everything is a rush. The building is more like a house than a formal office, which gives it a relaxed feeling that we all appreciate during the long week. You can see a lot of greenery and coconut trees from the windows, and when it rains, the sound on the roof is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. We have a few desks set up in the main room, and the chairs don't all match each other. There is a wooden cupboard where we keep all the records, and it smells a bit like old paper and cedar wood. Most of the people who stop by are locals who live just a few minutes down the road. We don't have fancy coffee machines, just a small stove in the back where someone usually has a pot of tea going. The driveway is a bit bumpy, and the grass grows fast, so it always feels like it needs trimming. It is a simple setup for Deutsche Bank, but it serves the purpose for this corner of the country. We don’t have long queues or the rush you see in other places. Life moves a bit slower here, and we just follow the rhythm of the neighborhood while we get our tasks done.
