Deepak Provision Store

Deepak Provision Store has its home on Cottonpet Main Road in Bengaluru. We are right in the thick of things in this busy part of the city. The store is filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of items. We have to use a ladder sometimes to reach the top shelves. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we get a delivery and boxes are sitting in the aisle. We’ve been at this Cottonpet Main Road location for a long time, and we know most of the people who live in the surrounding streets. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. Word of mouth is how people find us, or they just see us while they are walking to the bus stop. The shop gets quite warm in the summer, but we keep the door open to let whatever breeze there is come inside. We spend our days weighing out items and chatting with whoever comes in. It’s not just about selling things; it’s about being part of the daily life here. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if we see someone coming down the street who looks like they need something. We don’t have a fancy billing system, just a simple cash drawer and a notebook. It’s a straightforward way of doing things that has worked for us for years. We just keep going, day after day, without making much of a fuss.
