Crepe Connection

Crepe Connection is located right on Brigade Road, which means it’s always loud and crowded outside our door. We have a small shop here where we make crepes on these flat griddles. It gets really hot behind the counter, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the front window. We spend most of our shift pouring batter and flipping crepes for the people walking by. It’s a tiny space, so we have to be careful not to bump into each other while we work. We don't have much room for storage, so we get our supplies delivered pretty often. The menu is written on a board, and sometimes we have to cross things out if we run out of fruit or chocolate. People usually take their food to go because we only have a couple of stools inside. It’s a lot of fast-paced work, and our hands are always busy. We see all kinds of people on Brigade Road, from tourists to locals just shopping. Sometimes the machines need a good scrubbing, or the fridge starts making a weird noise, but we just deal with it as it happens. We aren't a big chain or anything, just a small shop trying to get the orders out as fast as we can. It’s tiring standing on our feet all day, but it’s what we do. We try to keep the batter fresh and the toppings ready for the evening rush that always comes.
