Cooking Contract

We operate out of No.1/A on the 4th Main in Vrishabhavathinagar. We’re right at the 4th Cross, near the Adithya Bar and Restaurant, which is a well-known landmark in Kamakshipalya. Our business is built on cooking contracts for all sorts of events. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend most of our time in a kitchen that’s filled with steam and the smell of various spices. The walls are a bit stained from years of heavy cooking, and the floor is rough concrete that we scrub down every night. We have a team of cooks who are used to making food in massive quantities. We use these huge burners that sound like jet engines when they’re turned all the way up. My job is mostly to manage the schedule and make sure we have enough firewood or gas for the day. We don't have a fancy office or a receptionist. If you want to talk to us about a contract, you usually have to find me in the back while I'm checking the inventory. We write everything down in a thick diary that stays on the counter. The neighborhood is busy and a bit loud, but it suits us. We don't use any high-end technology to manage the business. It’s all based on experience and knowing how much salt goes into a fifty-kilo bag of rice. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going.
