Color Impressions

Color Impressions is located inside Anand Chambers in Shivaji Nagar. It’s at number 180. If you’ve been to Shivaji Nagar, you know how crowded the streets get, especially on the weekends. Our shop is often filled with the smell of ink and paper. We have machines running quite a bit, so it can get a little loud. The lighting in Anand Chambers isn't the greatest, but we have enough lamps at our workstations. We started out with just one small machine and now we have a few more squeezed into the back. There’s barely enough room to walk between the counters when we have a big order ready for pickup. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Whoever is free just walks over to help whoever walks in. We get all sorts of requests, from people wanting a single copy to those needing a whole batch of cards. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to redo a print, that’s just part of the work. The building itself is old, so the elevator is a bit cranky. Most of us just use the stairs to stay moving. We’ve known the other shop owners in the building for a long time. It feels like a small community here in the middle of all the city noise. We usually grab lunch from the street vendors outside because the food is good and it is quick.
