You can find us over at 219, I ‘G’ Cross in the III Stage area of Basaveshwarnagar. Bangalore is a big city, but this part of IV Block feels a bit different than the main tech hubs. We are Cognizant Technology Solutions, and this is our local spot. It is a bit tucked away, so if you are coming for the first time, you might have to look twice at the street signs. The building itself is pretty standard for this neighborhood. We have a lot of computers and some very tired-looking chairs. The team is mostly focused on the technical projects that come through the door. It’s not always peaceful; sometimes the neighborhood dogs bark a lot or there is construction nearby. We just put our headphones on and keep going. We don’t have a fancy canteen, so most of us just find a spot at our desks to eat. The work can be repetitive, but it’s what we know how to do. Some of the folks here have been at this address for years. We’ve grown used to the commute and the local shops nearby. It’s a practical place to work without any extra fluff. We handle the tasks as they come in and try to stay on top of the schedule. It is just a regular office day for us, most of the time. We are just a bunch of people working in Basaveshwarnagar trying to get things right.
