Classic Gents Parlour

If you go to the Beml Layout Last Stop in Basaveshwara Nagar, you will find Classic Gents Parlour at number 56. I’ve been cutting hair here for quite a few years now. The shop isn't very big, but we have enough chairs for the locals who come by. It’s a straightforward place. We have mirrors, some clippers, and old chairs that are still comfortable. Most of the men in the neighborhood know us. We don’t take fancy appointments online; you just walk in and wait your turn. Sometimes there is a bit of a queue, especially on Sundays. We usually have a newspaper or a small TV to keep people occupied while they wait. Basaveshwara Nagar is a nice area, and being near the last stop of the Beml Layout means we see a lot of people coming off the buses. I try to keep the place tidy, but hair gets everywhere by midday. It’s a simple life. I talk to the customers about the news or the local weather while I work. We don't do any of those trendy styles you see in magazines unless someone really asks for it. Mostly, it’s just regular haircuts and shaves. My tools are old but I keep them sharp. We’ve been at this address, 56 Beml Layout, since I can remember. It’s just a local barbershop doing what it’s always done for the people living nearby.
