Citi Kitchen

We’ve been running this kitchen on Banaswadi Main Road for a while now. We are located near Federal Bank, which is a busy little corner of the 560043 area. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so we get a lot of families and students coming in. We don't have a big dining hall or fancy waiters. It’s just a small space where we prepare food that feels like what you’d get at home. Most days it’s just me and two other helpers in the back. We spend a lot of time cleaning vegetables and making sure the spice mixes are done right. We don't use a lot of pre-made stuff because it just doesn't taste the same. Sometimes we run late with orders when the rain starts, as Bangalore traffic can be a real problem on this road. We just try to tell people honestly how long it will take. The kitchen isn't always quiet; there is always a radio playing or someone shouting an order. We’ve had some regulars who have been ordering from us since we first opened our doors here in Banaswadi. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy logo. We just have our small shop and our regular customers. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but we like seeing people enjoy a simple meal. We just keep things basic and hope for the best.
