You can find us on Nrupathunga Road. Chatpata Aaha Fast Food is just a simple spot for people who are in a rush. Being on such a busy road means we see a lot of traffic and people walking by all day long. We don't have much of an indoor area, so most people just stand and eat or take their food with them. The kitchen is right at the front so you can see everything being made. It gets pretty smoky when the grill is on, but that’s just how it is. We make a lot of snacks and quick meals that don't take long to prepare. The counters are made of stainless steel so we can scrub them down easily at the end of the shift. We aren't trying to be a fancy restaurant. We just want to give people something to eat when they are hungry and on their way somewhere else. The staff stays busy from morning until late at night. Sometimes the change runs out and we have to ask the shop next door for some coins. It’s a bit disorganized at times, especially when the evening rush hits and everyone wants their food at once. We just do our best to keep up with the orders and keep the line moving. It’s loud and messy sometimes but we are here every day. That’s just the way it goes on this street.
