Chakh Leh India

Our place, Chakh Leh India, is situated in Nagarbhavi 2nd Stage, at number 11. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most of the time. We started this because we wanted to bring some different flavors to the local area. We don't have a big corporate team or anyone telling us what to do. It’s just a small team of us working every day. We do a lot of the prep work ourselves, like peeling ginger and chopping bags of onions. It’s not the most exciting work, but it has to be done. The kitchen gets pretty hot in the summer, but we’re used to it. We have a few tables inside and some people like to eat outside when the weather is nice. We try to keep the menu simple so we don’t get overwhelmed. Sometimes we try out a new dish just to see if people like it. If they don’t, we just take it off. That’s the benefit of being small. We’ve had some regulars since the day we opened our doors. They know us by name, and we know how they like their food. It’s a nice feeling when someone walks in and you already know what they’re going to order. We aren't looking to become a huge chain. We just like running our little shop here in Nagarbhavi and making sure everyone leaves with a full stomach. It’s a modest living, and it keeps us busy from morning to night. We just take it one day at a time.
