Our office is at 33 3rd Cross, in a building called Laxmi Ranganatha Nilaya here in Bangalore. We do consulting work, which basically means we spend our days helping people sort out their business problems and paperwork. It’s a small operation. We don’t have a huge team or a big HR department. It’s just a few of us who have some experience in the field. The building is a typical Bangalore structure, a bit older but solid. We’ve got desks, chairs, and a lot of filing cabinets that probably need sorting out. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays relatively quiet during the day. We don’t have a big sign out front, so people sometimes miss us on the first try. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporate firm. We just speak plainly and tell people what they need to know. Some days are slow and we just catch up on reading, while other days the phone won't stop ringing. We take our lunch breaks together most of the time. It’s a very informal atmosphere. We don't wear suits or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand. Bangalore is a fast-paced city, but we try to keep things at a manageable speed in our office. We’ve been here long enough to know most of the neighbors. It’s just a small, local consulting business trying to do things the right way.
