Central Power Research Institute

We are the Central Power Research Institute and we have our office here in Bangalore at 1882 G, 5th Main, 10th Cross. It is a busy part of the city, and our building is right in the middle of it all. We spend our days researching things related to power and electricity. It involves a lot of testing and looking at how different electrical components handle stress. The 560 104 area is where we have been based for quite some time now. Our researchers and staff are usually busy in the labs or writing up their findings at their desks. It is not the kind of place that looks very modern from the outside, but we have the equipment we need to do the job. We don't really do much in the way of advertising because the work we do is quite specific to the power industry. We just focus on getting the tests right and making sure the data is accurate for whoever needs it. There is always a hum of machinery somewhere in the building. Most of us take our tea breaks at the small shops nearby on 5th Main. It is a regular job for us, and we try to keep the research moving along without getting caught up in too much bureaucracy. It is a practical environment where we solve technical problems every day. People here are just hard workers who know a lot about electricity and power grids.
