Working out of the IIM Campus in Bangalore is a bit different than being in the middle of the city traffic. Our spot at 516 Staff Quarters feels much quieter, almost like a different world once you pass through the main gates. There are plenty of trees and the air feels a bit better than it does out on the main roads. It is a bit of a walk to get here if you don't have a vehicle, but once you are inside, it is peaceful. We started Careernet Consulting right here because the location just made sense at the time. The office itself is pretty basic, just some desks, computers, and a lot of paper. We spend most of our mornings drinking coffee and checking emails before the real rush of the day starts. It is not a place with shiny signs or a fancy front desk. It is just where we sit and handle the consulting work that comes our way. Sometimes you can hear the students or staff walking by outside, talking about their classes. We stay busy enough, though. Even being on a campus, there is always plenty of work to get through before the sun goes down. It is a practical place to be, and we like that it is not too flashy. Most days are pretty much the same, just keeping things moving and making sure everything gets done by the end of the week.
