Calcutta Chats & Parota Centre

We are located right at BTM Layout 2nd Stage Khadimachine Chowk. If you know the chowk, you've probably walked past Calcutta Chats & Parota Centre. It’s a small spot, nothing too fancy. We spend most of our time prepping vegetables and making dough for the parotas. The smell of spices usually fills the air around our corner. It’s a busy spot with lots of students and office workers walking by. We don't have much seating, so a lot of people just stand around and eat or take their food to go. It can get pretty crowded during the evening hours. That’s when the chowk is at its loudest. We try to keep up with the orders, but sometimes there’s a bit of a wait. We don't use any complicated machines, just our hands and a hot stove. The menu is written on a board that’s seen better days. We don’t see the point in changing it since everyone knows what we serve anyway. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, which gets tiring, but we like talking to the customers. Some of them have been coming here since we first opened at BTM Layout. We aren't trying to be a five-star restaurant. We just want to serve decent snacks that people enjoy. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night for everyone in the area who needs a quick bite.
