Cafe Racer

Cafe Racer started out because we just liked the vibe of the old HAL area. We’re located at 84-5-21 on the main road in Jeevan Bima Nagar. It’s a pretty busy stretch, especially with people coming from New Tippasandra and the HAL 3rd Stage. We wanted a place where you could just come in and not feel like you’re in one of those stiff, over-polished corporate coffee chains. The decor is a bit rough around the edges, which is how we like it. We have some bike stuff around, hence the name, but it’s really just a spot for people who live or work nearby to take a break. The noise from the main road is always there in the background, but inside it’s a bit more relaxed. We serve decent coffee and some snacks that we like eating ourselves. It’s not about being the fanciest place in Bangalore. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, and sometimes we run out of a certain cake by noon, but that’s just how it goes in a small cafe. We know the regulars who come in every morning before they head off to their offices. It’s a good community to be part of. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place running and talking to whoever is sitting at the counter. It feels more like a hangout spot than a business most days. We are just here doing our thing on the main road.
